Vortex screws are recognised in the industry for their premium quality and tailored product features. Technical advancements combine to provide users with versatility and assurance.
In addition to the existing Standard, TX, and Exterior ranges, we have now added two new specialist screws to the range, Vortex Floorboard and Vortex Tongue and Groove screws.
Designed for fast and secure installation of flooring and to eliminate squeaks, the floorboard screw features two thread patterns to remove the risk of jacking and for a superior hold. The bottom thread offers fast insertion and supremely strong holding power. The plain shank in the middle is designed to eliminate the need for clamping, whilst the top thread securely fixes the board to the frame, eliminating movement and squeaks.
It also features a pozi drive with a double countersunk head for a flush finish and to provide greater strength. Sharp under-head milling ribs countersink the surface, saving time. A 25° sharp point enables an instant start and rapid insertion.
The Vortex Tongue and Groove screw is a specialised fastener for tongue and groove installations. A discreet self-countersinking head provides a secure and hidden fixing, while a TX10 drive helps reduce cam-out. A 34° sharp point enables a fast start and rapid insertion.
Ideal for use in MDF, plywood, chipboard, softwood, and hardwood, both screws feature a dual thread. The screws incorporate the benefits of a single thread, with a twinthread start, for ultimate performance. The dual thread start ensures consistent and rapid insertion, whilst the single thread offers optimum grip and exceptionally high pull-out retention.
Both screws are zinc and yellow plated for corrosion resistance and have a Gleitmo dry lubricant finish for easier driving. Driver bits are included with all boxes.
In addition, due to market demand, two new longer-length sizes have also been added to the standard Vortex range, 6 x 220mm and 6 x 240mm.
